What is a 1-inch thread stainless steel float level switch used for?
This float switch is mainly used for liquid level detection and automatic control in tanks, reservoirs, industrial containers, water treatment systems, and pump control systems. It can be used for: Pump control Overflow protection Dry-run protection Alarm systems Automatic liquid level monitoring The 1-inch threaded design provides stronger installation stability and is suitable for larger tanks or industrial equipment.
What material is the float switch made of?
The float ball and float body are made of SU304 stainless steel, offering: Excellent corrosion resistance High mechanical strength High temperature resistance Long service life For more demanding environments, 316 stainless steel customization is also available.
Is it normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC)?
It supports both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC), depending on the float orientation. The switching logic can be changed by reversing the float by 180°. Lower-Open Type (Default) ① When the liquid level rises, the float moves away from the reed switch position, and the switch turns OFF. ② When the liquid level falls, the float returns to the reed switch position, and the switch turns ON. Upper-Open Type ① When the liquid level rises, the float returns to the reed switch position, and the switch turns ON. ② When the liquid level falls, the float moves away from the reed switch position, and the switch turns OFF. Note The factory default is usually the lower-open type, but users can adjust it according to control requirements.
Can the float switch directly control pumps or solenoid valves?
No. Because the internal reed switch carries only a small current, it should not directly control high-power loads such as: Water pumps Solenoid valves AC contactors Large alarms Recommended solution: Solenoid valves or alarms → use a small relay Water pumps → use relay + AC contactor Direct connection may burn the reed contacts.
What are the typical technical specifications?
Typical specifications include: Max Contact Rating: 10VA / 50VA Max Switching Voltage: 100V AC/DC or 220V AC/DC Max Switching Current: 0.5A / 1.5A Max Breakdown Voltage: 110V AC/DC or 300V AC/DC Temperature Rating: -30°C to +120°C Actual specifications may vary depending on the selected model.
What are the advantages of the 1-inch thread design?
Compared with smaller threaded models, the 1-inch thread design provides: Stronger installation stability Better sealing performance Higher mechanical strength Better suitability for large tanks Easier compatibility with industrial pipelines This makes it suitable for industrial liquid level control applications.
Can the rod length and thread size be customized?
Yes. ELECALL supports: Rod length customization Thread size customization Float quantity customization Cable length customization OEM / ODM production Non-standard customization is supported for different installation requirements.
What liquids are suitable for this float switch?
Suitable for: Water Light oil Cooling liquid Industrial liquids Chemical media compatible with stainless steel Not recommended for: Heavy sludge Liquids with large floating debris Because floating objects may affect switching stability.
What should buyers confirm before purchasing?
Buyers should confirm: Liquid type Working temperature Working pressure Installation direction Thread size Rod length Cable length NO or NC logic Quantity Customization requirements Clear specifications help avoid installation problems later.
What are the advantages of the single-ball model?
Single-ball float switches provide: Higher sensitivity Faster response Compact structure Easier installation in narrow tanks It is suitable for precise point-level detection and compact equipment.
When should buyers choose the single-ball model?
Choose single-ball if: Space is limited Only one control point is needed High sensitivity is required Compact tank design is preferred Single-ball models are commonly used for precise liquid level alarms and compact automation systems.
